Project Description

In just 28 days, the designer had to renovate a dance studio from scratch and complete the design and decoration. The challenge was not only time-sensitive, but also required taking into account the unique needs of a dance studio and blending practicality with aesthetics. To complete the design and decoration in less than a month, the designer needed to accurately plan every detail, including custom-making all furniture and design partitions. The customer has clear requirements for material selection, such as designated wood flooring and marble suppliers. While respecting the customer's ideas, the designer cleverly incorporates professional opinions to make the overall design more layered.

Creating a sense of space can be said to be the focus of interior design. This time, the designer chose light colors for the wooden floors and walls of the dance studio. These colors not only make the entire space look brighter, but also bring a sense of visual openness. At the same time, in order to avoid monotony, dark marble is specially used under the window for decoration, which not only adds a sense of hierarchy, but also provides a practical small items display area, allowing users to easily place kettles, small towels and other items. In addition to making full use of space, it also meets the customer's requirements for specified materials.

Mirrors are an indispensable element in the dance studio. However, too many mirrors can easily dazzle people and even affect the user's concentration. To solve this problem, designers recommend installing mirrors in an L-shape. This design not only allows dancers to observe their movements from multiple angles, but also effectively avoids the messy feeling caused by excessive reflection. The entire space is both practical and organized, helping users feel more comfortable when using it.

The lighting design is also a highlight of this dance studio. Near the door, a long table, large lockers and water dispenser are set up for daily paperwork or short breaks. Spotlights are used as the main light source in this part to provide concentrated lighting. Inside the dance studio, in order to prevent the light from shining directly on the mirror and causing dazzling reflections, the designer chose hanging light tubes and evenly distributed the light on the ceiling. Coupled with the natural light introduced by the large windows, the indoor light is both abundant and soft, allowing dancers to focus more during practice.

The design of the dance studio was completed within 28 days, and the entire design fully balanced functionality and beauty. From the color and material selection to the details of the mirror and lighting design, every decision made by the designer takes into account the user's use situation, and also shows the flexibility and meticulous attention to the needs of the guests, making this space both professional and full of life.
