Unit area: 1038 sq. ft.

Project Description

Did you know that your home holds many possibilities? Although the three-bedroom units in this famous city are more than ten years old, after careful design by interior designers, they can not only make the home style unified and complete, but also make the seemingly impractical space practical, creating a beautiful and practical home.

One of the common problems in Mingcheng units is that there is a useless window in the dining room, which neither allows light to pass through nor can be opened. The designer customized a detachable display cabinet for the homeowner, which not only filled up this seemingly useless space, but also transformed it into a practical storage location. In addition, when the windows need to be repaired or replaced in the future, this detachable design also makes it easier for homeowners to perform maintenance.

There is a bathroom next to the kitchen in the Mingcheng unit. The designer used a set of pocket doors and ghost sliding doors designed by Scringo from Italy to combine the bathroom and kitchen sliding doors into one, which is both beautiful and practical. This design visually adds lines and layering, while making the entire door design appear lighter.

The owner hopes to have a wardrobe and desk in the bedroom and make good use of the window sill. However, due to the insufficient depth of the window sill, it will be inconvenient to use the desk. To this end, the designer adopted a triangular desk design to provide the homeowner with enough space. In addition, the designer added lights on the edge of the window sill, making the window sill and drawer combination look like a complete box, highlighting the sense of lines and making the furniture and structure of the entire space feel more unified. Tailor-made bedside tables with fully rounded corners also add a touch of character and design to the room.

The female homeowner wants to replace the kitchen cabinets to make the kitchen more neat and tidy. The new kitchen cabinets use slate without joints, and the walls use ceramic tiles with the same stone pattern. The combination of the two materials makes the space appear brighter and more harmonious.

The toilet has also been redesigned, with a large brick as the highlight on the wall of the toilet, which is both beautiful and easy to clean. The wall design with fewer connections echoes the kitchen, making the entire home style more unified.

This renovation not only gave the Mingcheng residence a completely new look, but also improved the practicality and beauty of the home space through clever design. Every detail demonstrates the designer's intention, from the detachable display cabinet to the two-in-one sliding door design, all showing a deep understanding and application of space, creating an ideal living space for the homeowner.
