Project Description

Every industry has its own unique features, and this beauty salon renovation project in Tsuen Wan can fully demonstrate the interior design challenges of beauty salons. Designers need to consider the needs of employees and customers to create a comfortable environment in the salon and ensure a smooth business process.

First of all, in terms of layout design, designers need to take into account the daily operations of the beauty salon and the movement of employees. The entrance to the beauty salon is the reception area, followed by the consultation room and treatment room. The staff room is located in the center of the beauty salon, making it easier for employees to access different rooms. Since the beauty salon occupies the entire floor this time, after completing the treatment, guests can go directly to the rest area and dressing room through another independent corridor without passing through the information area. In addition to retaining smooth movement lines, it can also avoid collisions with customers who have just entered the beauty salon.

Secondly, in terms of storage, beauty salons often have a large number of machines and equipment that may need to be moved between different rooms. Taking this into consideration, when designing the layout of the beauty salon, the designer specially arranged a room to centrally display different instruments so that the beauty salon employees can move them to different rooms.

Another unique aspect of a beauty salon is the amount of water it uses. Operating a beauty salon requires the use of a large amount of water. However, not all shops or commercial buildings are equipped with suitable pipes and drainage devices for the operation of beauty salons. Therefore, the person in charge of the beauty salon needs to consult the designer's opinion before renting the shop, and the designer also needs to visit the site to inspect and calculate whether the shop is suitable for operating a beauty salon.

Beauty salons have high requirements for smell and cleanliness, so they need to be carefully considered when choosing indoor materials. In this renovation project of a beauty salon in Tsuen Wan, the designer used steel, solid wood and glass at the reception desk to avoid scratches. The carpets are mold-resistant and high-density carpets, which do not trap dust and lice, making the carpets more durable. In addition, designers must ensure that the ventilation system of the beauty salon is good to prevent different odors from being trapped in the room and affecting the air circulation. Finally, in order to provide better privacy and comfort, the designers added soundproofing materials between each room to avoid sound interference with each other.

In the decoration project of the Tsuen Wan beauty salon, every detail was carefully considered by the designers, from layout and space planning to material selection, to ensure the daily operation of the beauty salon and meet high standards of smell and cleanliness, creating a comfortable and convenient environment for customers and employees.
