Residential Design: 九龍塘 | 花明別墅

This residential design project is a duplex residential unit with spacious and open interior space. The designer cleverly separates the activity area from the private rest area. The lower level is the living room, dining room, kitchen and other activity spaces, while the bedrooms are mainly located on the upper level. This layout not only provides ample privacy, but also further enhances comfort by allowing the homeowners to rest without being disturbed by noise.

Most of the residential designs in Hong Kong are dominated by black and white tones. Although simple, they may appear monotonous, giving people a dull feeling. So we decided to break the rules and create a living space filled with color. Based on gray and white tones, with different colors in various areas, the whole home exudes a lively and fresh atmosphere.

After entering the door, you can see a dark green and elegant wall in the dining room area. On it is a magnetic wall filled with family photos, decorated with paintings of different sizes, creating a warm atmosphere, and there are many bright spots in simplicity. The design of the living room and floor uses wooden elements as the main tone, supplemented by dark green embellishments, giving the space a natural and comfortable atmosphere. Each bedroom also has its own characteristics: the children's room is mainly decorated with pink blue and pink, creating a happy and warm atmosphere; while the master room is decorated with cool purple, injecting a noble, elegant and tranquil atmosphere into the space, adding a sense of romantic comfort.

How to integrate outdoor natural scenery into the interior is also a major feature of this project. Taking into account the beautiful scenery and greenery outside the house, we used large-area windows to extend the outdoor green scenery into the indoors. This not only brings natural light into the interior, making the space more transparent, open and layered, but also creates a sense of peace and relaxation. We specially designed a bar in front of the window, where the homeowner and his family can enjoy the picturesque scenery outside the window and enjoy a comfortable rest time.

For the space division of the whole house, we chose the design of using black-framed glass doors to inject modernity and fashion into the unit, while enriching the visual hierarchy of the space. Black-framed glass doors can not only reduce the sense of oppression in space partitions and create a bright and transparent open feeling, but also maintain the consistency and smoothness of the overall design, making it a highlight of the project.

We strive for perfection in every detail, whether it is the color matching of the space or the integration with the natural beauty of the outdoors, it all reflects our persistence in practicality and aesthetics. We hope that the homeowners and their families can enjoy a happy and comfortable life in this space full of beautiful emotions and warm atmosphere.

A short story from the homeowner - The customer found several design companies but failed to come up with a suitable layout plan for the house. Until we found T&T, we connected the bathroom and study room in a straight line. The dining room on the right cleverly used the space at the bottom of the stairs to put a piano and a refrigerator to form two straight lines. Together with the entrance, the space was completely divided into four parts, each without interfering but connected as a whole. After the customer saw the floor plan for the first time, he had complete trust in us and fully accepted our residential design plan. It only took four months from the beginning of the design to the completion of the entire residential project.
