Project Description
The interior design of a medical clinic takes cleanliness, tidiness and practicality as the main considerations. It not only needs to meet the daily work needs of medical staff, but also must properly arrange the placement of medical equipment. At the same time, the medical experience of patients must be taken into consideration to create a reliable and stable environment. In this project, we divided the clinic into three areas: reception, waiting area and consultation room.
The design of the reception desk is simple and elegant. The linear front desk with mainly warm wood grain creates a stable atmosphere, while the lighting decoration at the front desk adds fashion and elegance elements to the space. In order to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere at the reception desk, we added a light yellow feature wall next to the reception desk, while the TV wall uses a wood-colored striped wall design to help ease the nervousness of patients.
There is a waiting area next to the reception desk, so that the nurse on duty can pay attention to the visitors at the reception desk and the patients in the waiting area at the same time. Since the main service targets of this clinic are pregnant women, we need to order multiple sets of particularly hard sofas for the waiting area to provide a comfortable space for pregnant women to wait for doctor consultations. These sofas are placed back-to-back against the wall, ensuring privacy for patients and reducing contact between patients. There is also a magazine rack in the waiting area for patients to read various magazines, publications and pamphlets to enhance their time experience.
The design of the consultation room is simple and spacious. The walls and floors are made of plain colors and dark wood furniture, creating a calm and tranquil atmosphere. At the same time, we pay special attention to lighting design, because adequate lighting helps doctors better diagnose patients’ conditions and perform treatment. In addition, there is a wash basin in the consultation room to facilitate doctors to keep their hands clean.
Finally, the need for air circulation should be taken into consideration when designing the clinic, so we have added air purifiers and ventilation systems in various areas to reduce the spread of germs and protect the health of medical staff and patients.
